OCTGN The Spoils - Season 5
Introduction
Welcome to the OCTGN The Spoils league again! Our first run went great!
Again, this will be a learning event. Keep that in mind throughout the duration. Questions and comments are encouraged. We will make adjustments as necessary.

Overview of the League
The main goal of the league is to literally just get people playing The Spoils! MANY of the players are new to the game as well, so DON'T be afraid if you are just now learning. We just want you to play!
Begins: June1st 2014 EST
Ends: August 1st, 2014 (July 31st at midnight EST)
Bring any decks that you like. You do not need to keep the same decks. However, you may only use cards that have officially been released.
If your opponent agrees, you may also do a SEALED game. Please be 100% in agreement as to what sets will be used for th sealed game.

Play against anybody on the ladder
For this event, there is no restriction on whom you can play or how many times you can play them. Try to mix it up as much as you can.
The rankings will use a standard ELO system. The exact formula is available in the GitHub repository for those that are interested.
Every player that is considered in the final league results (by playing just 10 games) will receive a PHYSICAL promotional The Spoils card. (Mailing addresses will be requested). The top 20% ranked players will also receive an additional prize!
Everyone can get the promotional card by JUST PLAYING, even if you lose every game... (heck there might even be a special prize for the bottom 10%)
Match Structure
A league match will consist of 1 game. (Just like normal The Spoils events)
The winner of the game wins the match. There will never be any ties.
There is no time limit, no pairings. Just find someone in the league and play!

Match Reporting
The winner of a match will report it to the site. Ties are not possible given the current match structure. Use the comments section to denote the trades each player used and if the deck has a name, provide that. An email notification will be sent out to the other player informing them of the notification.
After the match has been reported, the other player will have 48 hours in which to reject the result. If this time period expires, the match becomes official and ratings will be adjusted.
Note: Report matches in order of completing them. It can have an impact on your rating if they are reported out of sequence. It's best to report them immediately after completion. It only takes a second!
Finding Opponents
Finding opponents on the ladder is up to you. Below are a few ideas on scheduling a match.

Create a game with a title that indicates a league match. If somebody joins that isn't part of the league, encourage them to join!
Correspondence
We will be using the TheSpoils.com Forum for correspondence.
Disconnects
If the client disconnects prior to a match's completion, the match does not count. You may replay it in it’s entirety. Please contact one of the league managers if you believe an opponent is maliciously disconnecting.
Game Naming Request
Please include [SPOILS-S05] somewhere in the game's name.
